Change how your team builds a case.

We work beside your litigation team on running cases, from the first letter to the hearing, and change the work one step at a time. The partners choose what we build, inside the platform the firm already has.

A case room being rebuilt around an evidence board of pinned cards joined by orange string, with a ladder, a toolbox and debris.

A case is built from the facts, and every fact needs its proof.

Before anyone drafts, someone reads the client's documents and puts the events in order. Then each assertion in the draft is tied to an exhibit.

The other side answers, and the team rebuilds its overview of who asserts what. Some cases stay open for years, and each new round of documents goes back into it.

Where AI could change the work on a case

Most cases run through these tasks, several of them again in each round. Where AI fits depends on how your team handles them now.

Fact-finding and the timeline

Before drafting, the team reads the client's documents and builds a timeline of the events, the messages and the people behind them. AI can make the first pass through the file and keep the timeline current as new documents arrive.

Assertions and their evidence

Every assertion in a writ of summons or a statement of defence needs its exhibit, and sometimes case law behind it. AI can hold that link for each assertion and show where the evidence is still missing.

Overviews of the exchange

After each round, someone lists what the other side asserts, how the team answered it and which points still lack evidence. AI can draft that overview from the procedural documents, for the lawyer to check.

Hearing preparation

The team prepares the client on the whole file and lists the questions the court is likely to ask. AI can draft that list from the file, with a possible answer to each question.

Standard questions on procedure

Clients keep asking how a procedure works, how long it takes and whether prejudgment attachment is an option. AI can draft a reply from what the firm told clients on earlier cases, for the team to check before it reaches a client report.

Hearings and deadlines across cases

The department has to know every hearing, every deadline and the work due before each one. AI can keep one schedule across all cases, showing where each one stands and what comes next.

How it works

01

We sit with the litigation team

We work next to your lawyers on their cases and see how each step is done today.

02

We collect the opportunities

Ideas come from your team and from our own research. We weigh them with the partners on value, risk and confidentiality.

03

We build what the firm picks

That can be a prompt library, a workflow, an automation or new software, starting in the platform the firm already uses.

04

We work on the next rounds

We can stay beside the team through the rounds that follow, while the new way of working settles in.

Frequently asked questions

Every case we run is different, so how would this work for us?

The facts differ from case to case, while the timeline and the exhibit list are built the same way each time. A Practice Assessment maps how your team does that work, so the partners can see which steps to change first.

We already have Harvey or Legora, so can't their team set this up?

Their team trains your lawyers on the platform's features. How your team builds a timeline or prepares a client for a hearing still needs writing down. We do that with your team in Workflow and Playbook.

Can't our own support lawyers or knowledge team do this?

They can, if they get time next to live cases to see how the work runs and write it down. We bring that time, and our own experience of commercial disputes.

Isn't this a job for a strategy house?

A strategy house answers where AI fits across the firm, and you may need that first. We start lower down, with one litigation team and the files on its desks.

Can AI read the case file for us?

It could date the documents and suggest where each one fits in the timeline. What a document proves and which argument to run stay with the lawyer.

Tell us how your team prepared for its last hearing.

Who built the timeline, who drafted the questions, and where did the preparation run late? We go through it with you and point out which steps AI could take on. If the whole firm needs an answer first, start with an AI Transformation Scan.
