You know where you stand on AI, and what to do first.

We read the organisation the way a client or a new hire would, and we sit with the people doing the work. You get a position you can defend, the gaps in order, and a first move.

Why the list of what you bought is not an answer.

When a board asks where the organisation stands on AI, what comes back is a list: the seats, the pilots, the policy. A list says what you bought, not what is used or what is missing. So the next decision, which tool, which team, gets made on a feeling.

We hold the seats, the pilots and the policy against one checklist, and hand you what to close first.

How it works

01

We read you from outside

We read your website, your vacancies and what you say in the market as a client would.

02

We read you from inside

We go through the policies, the tooling, the governance and where AI already sits in the work.

03

We talk to the people doing the work

We sit with partners, associates, support staff and the people who run the systems, while they work.

04

We rank the gaps

We sort the gaps by people, process or product and say where the gain is and what to go at first.

05

We walk your leadership through it

We sit with your leadership and take their questions before the board does.

What you get

A position

Where the organisation stands on AI, in writing you can put in front of the board.

The gaps that matter

Which gaps cost you most, and which to close first.

A first move

The smallest move that closes the first gap, and why that one.

Frequently asked questions

We've looked at this ourselves. What does an outsider add?

Two things. Part of what we read only shows from outside, and you cannot read your own vacancies as a stranger does. The rest is time next to the work that nobody inside has free.

Isn't this what we pay a strategy house for?

A strategy house writes the strategy, and you may want one. We do something else: time in the trenches with the people doing the work, ending in a position and a first move. The two fit together.

How long does the Scan take?

Usually one to two months from start to finish, spread around the people we sit with. It depends on the size of the organisation. We agree the dates before we start.

Can we start with one practice instead?

Yes. A Practice Assessment does the same for one practice, in more depth, and ends in a ranked list of opportunities.

Tell us when the board next meets.

We plan the work back from that date. If your question is one decision rather than the whole organisation, a Strategy Deepdive answers it instead.
